We have had a September full of family...
Last week, my sister-in-law, Shari arrived home for a visit. Unfortunately Jeremy couldn't come with her, but we are glad to have Shari around. It has been so great to see her and get to spend time with her face to face! We are going to head to Bellingham today to get some gas and diapers :) and then we are also going to spend the evening with some girlfriends! Shari and I have always been great, close friends and so I am so thankful for this time with her.
A lot of our September has been spend with Jason's brother, Jon. Jon, is an absolutely amazing brother and a wonderful uncle to Landon. Landon loves his Uncle Jon and lights up when he walks into a room! Yesterday, Jon moved to Belfast, Ireland. He has decided to go to Belfast Bible College for a year, so yesterday we had to say goodbye. There were a lot of tears and it was pretty hard watching him have to say goodbye to his nephew. We know he is going to have a wonderful time and God is going to use him and change him through this year...but its extremely hard to have lost yet another sibling overseas! Abby is now our one and only sibling in Canada. Thankfully, Jon and Kare and Ben will be home for Christmas and then Jeremy and Shari arrive back home late in January and then they are home to STAY!!!
Next week, Karalee and Ben arrive from Australia!!! They will only be here for a week, but we are really looking forward to that time with them! Landon is now so different from when we visited Australia...starting to walk, finally healthy...so it will be great for them to see him. So, 7 more days and we will be able to meet them at the airport to say hello, rather than goodbye! And then , today is my parents 30th wedding anniversary, so last night we had a bbq and pool party with a lot of their friends. It was a wonderful time and I think they really enjoyed themselves! Jason and I are so thankful for our parents and the examples they are in their marriages, so Congratulations Mom and Dad!
I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend and have been enjoying your families...whether close by or far away, family is the most wonderful part of our lives!
