Allergy Testing!

Landon had an appointment with the pediatrician again yesterday and everything looked great!  She said that he looked wonderful and that he was growing well.  He now weighs 17 lbs 13 oz.  She also gave me the paperwork so that I can get allergy testing done - YEAHH!! - I am so glad we will finally get this done and we will have those answers at last!  The only thing is, she wants me to wait a couple weeks because we just got other bloodwork done and they want to do it as far apart as possible...this part is hard, because I'd love to have it done RIGHT NOW so that we can get the results! But, I'm going to try to be patient :)  The dr was telling me that if the tests come back and he does have some big allergies, we will be sent to an allergist to get more specific testing done. I am so thankful that we are now going ahead with this and we look forward to being able to know exactly what it is that bothers our little guy!

Enjoy the wonderful sunshine!

good luck with the allergy tests. I have been frustrated with the results that Janae got. She went to children's hospital just before she turned two and they said she was not allergic to egg whites, however she still breaks out and refuses to eat. THey were confused with the results so they even have blood work done to confirm the poke result and the same thing. Also we were told she didn't have a reaction to peanuts, however i took her to my doctors to feed her peanut butter(my husband is deathly allergic) and she broke out in a rash and now i am told to NEver feed her peanuts or at least til she is 5 adn then in a controlled environment. They say teh test came back negative because her bodie has never had the "peanut protein" and so it has not developed any antibodies, or something like that. My girlfriend at church said the same thing about allergy testing that is isn't alawys what they say, she has three children with huge allergy problems and her son had an antifilactic reaction to kiwi but his test came back negative. So hopefully in your case this will giveyou the answers you are looking for but i would be careful to not fully depend on the results. I know at children's they answered our questions and I just would be here all ngiht explaining why teh tests results came back the way they did but ya. the pricks arn't too bad.
