October Happenings

I know I'm a bit late in posting this, but we had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with our family. We had one dinner with my side of the family and a second dinner with Jason's side of the family - turkey 2 days in a row - YUM! I didn't get many pictures unfortunately, but here are two from our Pue Thanksgiving:

Landon and I enjoyed a morning trip to the pumpkin patch with our friends Katie & William. The boys had a lot of fun looking around, going on the hayride and just being amongst all the people and animals. Neither of them were too fond of the "dirty" pumpkins though!
Here is Landon in the patch

There - both looking! Happy Fall!

We have also enjoyed some swimming and a new activity we have found called "Tot Romp". They have it at the WG Rec center as well as the new Langley events center on Tues, Wed and Thurs mornings. Its a great activity, especially for the fall, rainy days when you can't figure out what to do to get the energy out! They set up a bunch of tumbling mats, trampolines, balls, blocks, cars, and other toys in a gym and just let the kids go for it - the cost is $4.45. Last week we went with some friends and the kids had a great time. It will definately become a regular activity for us, I think, as my little boy needs the space and place to get his energy out!
On a different note, my hubby went to the Canucks game yesterday and got to do one of the on-ice intermission contests and won a signed hockey stick from the team. Pretty fun! He does want to display it on our mantle though, and I'm not sure about that ;)
Landon will be 2 next month and that is hard to believe. He has definately been changing right before our eyes. His words are really starting to come and he is talking a lot more. I am looking forward to when he can start to put sentences together and we can communicate a bit better with each other! I can tell he gets frustrated at times because he can't say what he wants and I don't understand him. Hopefully everything will become more clear in the next few months! We put him in 2 year old Sunday school today for the first time and he loved it - I'm so glad as he hasn't enjoyed the nursery as much, but Sunday school definately seemed to suit him better. Its hard to believe that in a week I have to register him for preschool for this next September! It goes SOOO fast. I am really looking forward to having another little baby this next year and being able to do it all again.
I hope you all enjoy your week and here's hoping the sun joins us for some of the week!
