I forgot to blog about my weekend...this past weekend, we took a little "getaway" with our friends Kurt and Char. Jason and Kurt had gotten Char and I Spa Utopia gift cards for Christmas - not knowing that the other one had done the same thing! So, Char and I had decided that we would make a day of it together. We booked the day for this past weekend and it was WONDERFUL! I've never been so pampered and relaxed in my whole life. We arrived at the Spa (we went to the North Vancouver location because we were told it was a really nice location, and it was!) and we were given our robes and sandals, we sat in the steam bath and then enjoyed 4 1/2 hours of relaxation - a massage, facial, pedicure and manicure. I've never felt so spoiled! Here are some pictures - I forgot my camera, so I stole these off Char's blog!
After we were finished all of our treatments, they did our makeup for us and they we took our time getting ready - a luxury we do not have with children!- and then we drove back downtown Vancouver to meet Kurt and Jason for dinner. They had spent the day at the car show and hanging around downtown. Jason and I had decided the week before, that maybe we would even leave Landon. So, we did! We left him with both sets of grandparents and that night, the four of us stayed at the Sutton Place Hotel with NO kids! I had a bit of a breakdown at bed time, as it was the first time that I had not put Landon to bed. He is still so young, but because I'm not breastfeeding, it was an option for me to leave him. By the next morning, I was definately ready to get home to my little boy! It was such a wonderful weekend and I feel so blessed! Thanks for the fun, K & C!
