40 days left....

Well, life sure has started out busy this new year! Happy New Year to everyone - I hope you all are enjoying the start back to "routines"! We began the New Year with the flu - Landon started throwing up one day and that was it - it ended up lasting about 5 days for him. He would only throw up once a day, but he was miserable and just not himself. Then my sister in law and brother in law both got it, and now it seems like we are out of the woods - we hope! It is not fun to have people sick when there are 5 people living with one bathroom at the moment!

As for our living arrangements - we are getting close to moving upstairs! As most of you know, we bought the house some of our closest friends - and as they are renovating their new place, we have been living in the basement suite until this week. As renovations normally go, nothing is happening on time, and due to sickness and trades not coming through, they are not able to move into their house until Tuesday night next week (originally hoping to start moving in by tomorrow night). We have decided to still move upstairs this weekend and K & C are going to stay with us for a few more nights so it will be one big party up there!! At least then, they are able to have all of their stuff out, put into a truck and the garage until they are able to unpack at their new place, and we'll be able to begin to get settled. And Landon will have a playmate in Paige for a few days at least, so hopefully that will help us have a bit of breathing room so we can do our unpacking!! We have had some painting done this past week and I am so excited to get our stuff in and then I will post some pictures!

I am only 5.5 weeks away from Baby #2's due date! We still don't really have a name picked out, and all of a sudden the other day, I realized how much stuff there still is to do! Like, I don't have any newborn diapers, no crib mattress, no soothers, no dresser/change table, no nursing bras, etc etc. So, I started making lists, and will slowly start picking up all that I need! I am really looking forward to getting the nursery prepared and pulling out all of that "little" stuff again for this new one! And the closer the due date gets, the sooner it means my sister will be here from Australia! I am so excited that she is coming to see this baby and hopefully he will come a bit early or on time, so she is able to have as much time as possible with him.

Well, I'm off to take a shower and get my son out of the house for a little while! We need a change of scenery this morning!
