A trip to Comox

This week, Landon and I took a trip to Comox, on Vancouver Island.  My good friend, Laura, moved over there with her family in the summer, and so we decided it was time to go visit.  My friend, Christa and I, packed up our 3 boys and headed out Tuesday morning.  Christa's two boys are Jacob, 18 months, and Josiah, 3 months.  So, the car was stuffed full, and we left about 8:30 to head to the Horseshoe Bay ferry.  We had our Starbucks in hand and made it to the ferry with time to spare.  They had a great play area on board, so Landon and Jacob had lots of fun playing there.  The ride was VERY choppy, due to the weather, and I ended up getting seasick..not fun!  Once we arrived on the other side, we fed the boys lunch and then got them settled into the car for the hour and a half drive to Comox.  They all fell asleep for the whole drive!!
Once there, we took over Mike and Laura's house!   Laura has a 17 month old, Linden....so the three older boys just began running (with Landon toddling close behind) everywhere!  It was a lot of fun to watch them interact with each other over the couple of days.  We had lots of lessons on being gentle, sharing and not touching certain things!  Each night, the boys were so tired, they were all in bed by 7:30 and we would crash on the couch and chat!  It was a really fun time, and I'm so glad we got to do it.
Today, we drove back to the ferry and the weather was really bad!  We were really close to not making it on the ferry, but we made it and after a rather long morning, we arrived back home, but not without our share of stress!  But fun stress, right Christa???!!!
Here are just a few pictures of our time.  Christa bought the boys these shirts and so we did a mini photo shoot with them!

Trying to get a decent picture of the 3 of them!
