Brrrrrr.....

We are in Calgary - where the sky is clear and blue today, but it is FREEZING!!! I think it is still about -10 right now...at the beginning of the week it was -30, so it definately has 'warmed' up! I have to say, it is a very different kind of cold than at home. And I do love when it is still sunny out.
We arrived here Friday night and Saturday morning we drove 3 hours to Radium Hot Springs to visit my grandparents. They plan to sell their house in the spring, and so we wanted to go there one last time - it was the house my mom and her siblings grew up in and where we have spent many summers and Christmas times. It is sad that it won't be a part of our family anymore. My grandparents are planning on moving into Calgary, where it will be easier for them to get around and for my grandma to be close to the doctors.
I have been able to spend some time with my cousins while I've been here. They are doing quite well - considering the last month. I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw them, because last time they had quite a hard time being around family. But, we had a really nice time and I'm hoping to see them once more before we leave. They still need a lot of prayer and support - they miss their mom so much and each day brings different situations, some that are harder than others. My cousin, Sharilyn, turns 23 in about a week and a half and I can't imagine how hard this birthday will be. They are both wonderful women and I'm so proud of them and how they have handled everything - I know Auntie Di would be very proud of them as well.
Tomorrow we are driving to Medicine Hat - Jason will be working there for the day and I'm going to spend the day with Katie and her son Liam....it has been almost 2 years since I've seen Katie so I can't wait!!! And we will finally meet each other's sons! Well, I'm off to have lunch with my Auntie Judy today and we will be home Sunday! I'm not able to post pictures yet but I will do so as soon as I can.

I'm glad I am not in -30C weather, or even -10C for that matter! :) Look forward to seeing you when you get home! Hope you had a great time!
