We were invited to join some friends for a family vacation this summer to Osoyoos. We had been looking forward to this time away for a couple months and at the end of June, we packed the Escape FULL of all of our stuff and headed out. I was a bit nervous about the drive, as Landon gets carsick, but the gravol and all the little stops we made seemed to work and he ended up being fine. We met J, A and M in Manning Park where we let the kids run around for a bit and get rid of some steam. Then we drove into Princeton, grabbed some lunch, gave the kids their "naptime" essentials and drove the last hour and a bit to Osoyoos.
We stayed in a motel that is RIGHT on the water and what a wonderful location it was! There was a large grassy area right outside our rooms with the beach just steps away. We were able to see the rooms and listen to the monitors while sitting at the picnic tables or on the beach. Landon was in his glory being able to be outside ALL the time! We had great weather a few of the days along with quite a bit of wind and a little bit of rain. We were there for Canada Day and so we walked up to town and watched the Canada Day parade and then that night we sat out on the beach, freezing (as that was the worst day for weather), and watched some wonderful fireworks.
It was such a great time of enjoying our family of four and spending quality time with friends. We are so thankful to be surrounded by such a wonderful group of friends and we have already booked in for next year and can't wait! L's, F's, D's - we had a wonderful time with you all!
